The Magik Play Starter Kit is an innovative set of digital educational games, for children, that promote and develop cognitive and motor skills, while handling and building constructions with real wooden blocks, being the ultimate goal to solve the challenges presented in the games.
Includes: 10 wooden blocks; 1 solid wood base for iPad; 4 exclusive games.
We are in a world that’s becoming more technological by the minute. The majority of the traditional toys that we used to play with when we were kids had to reinvent themselves, in order to adapt to the new children’s needs. This means that the things adults had to learn and discover are now more intuitive and almost automatic for those who were born in the digital era that we live in, currently.
With this in mind, Magikbee decided to combine these two realities, the traditional and digital ones, and revolutionize the all-so-famous wooden blocks, by creating a set of digital educational games – the Magik Play Starter Kit –, for children.
These Magik Play games allow a soft introduction to mathematical concepts through the acknowledgement of shapes and handling of the wooden blocks. By creating a series of fun challenges, this kit also helps the stimulation of problem-solving skills, balance, speed and even cooperation.
Main benefits:
- Easy to use (open the application, choose the game and it’s ready to play!);
- Based in the STEM/STEAM methodology*;
- Augmented reality experience that interacts with the real magic blocks;
- Promotes creativity, fine motricity and collaboration;
- Technological toy, with no plastic use or electronical components;
- Environment friendly toy, made with natural materials and no toxic inks;
- Compatible with every iPad and iPad Mini model (except with the 12,9” iPad).
*STEM/STEAM Methodology: English concept that combines the following fields: S – Science, T – Technology, E – Engineering, M – Maths and, recently, A – Art.
This methodology is used in the educational area, due to its practical teaching methods that encourages the children’s learning experience, by further developing their creativity, team work, critical spirit and communication, skills required in a world clearly more open to technology and the digital reality.
